Laurie Ammerman is a Certified Pharmacy Technician at the House of Wellness. She has been working for the Nation since 2015. She has been a technician for 20+ years and certified for 19.

Rosie Bertram works as a pharmacist at the House of Wellness Pharmacy in Baraboo. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UW-Madison School of Pharmacy in 2018. Rosie joined the pharmacy team in 2019 and has worked in the pharmacy profession since 2013. Rosie enjoys establishing relationships with patients and helping to make sure that they are comfortable with using their medications. When she’s not at work, she enjoys cooking and baking sourdough bread, running, hiking, and working outside in the garden.

Abby Butchart is the Pharmacy Manager at the House of Wellness Pharmacy. She has been working for the Ho-Chunk Nation Pharmacy Division since 2017 and in the pharmacy profession since 2011. She graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2017 and from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2013. She is passionate about serving the Ho-Chunk community by providing primary care ambulatory services focusing on diabetes management and commercial tobacco cessation services. She enjoys helping people manage their medications and lifestyle so that they are able to reach their health goals. Outside of work Abby enjoys dancing, exploring the outdoors, and traveling.

Courtney Day is a Certified Pharmacy Technician at the House of Wellness Pharmacy. She joined the House of Wellness team in 2023, but has working in pharmacy since 2017. In addition, she brings 3 years of Health Care Coordinator and 7 years of Certified Nursing Assistant experience with her. Originally born in Florida, her hobbies include volleyball, surfing, hiking, traveling, and attending social gatherings. She loves meeting new people and furthering her education. She is excited to contribute her vast experience working at other pharmacies, communication skills, leadership skills and organizational skills to the House of Wellness Pharmacy team

Melanie Dreier is pharmacist at Ho-Chunk Health Care Center Pharmacy. She graduated from UW-Madison School of Pharmacy in 2017 and has been working at the pharmacy since May 2017. Melanie served as the pharmacy’s manager from August 2019 until May 2022. She is driven to expand her knowledge of women’s health topics including contraceptive options, sexual health, and medication use during pregnancy and lactation in order to better serve as a resource for her patients. She also hopes to promote safe and effective antibiotic use by facilitating the growth of our antibiotic stewardship program. When Melanie isn’t at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, who keep her on her feet and always bring a smile to her face.

Rachel Dutton is the Pharmacy Manager at the Ho-Chunk Health Care Center Pharmacy in Black River Falls and joined the Ho-Chunk Nation pharmacy division in April 2022. Her passions within pharmacy include working with autoimmune disorders and herbal medicine. She is looking forward to further advocating and developing the Pharmacist Diabetes Management program that is offered at the Ho-Chunk Nation pharmacies. Outside of work she enjoys attending sporting events and local festivals, and interior decorating her family’s home.

Heather Gjerseth is one of the pharmacists at Ho-Chunk Health Care Center. She graduated from UW-Madison School of Pharmacy in 2003 and has been working at the pharmacy since November 2019. She has previously worked at other small-town pharmacies and rural hospitals. Her passion is performing Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) for patients with complicated medication schedules. She also enjoys managing a program called Med Sync. This program involves lining up patient’s medications so they can all be filled on the same day. She has become a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and is available for Diabetes Care appointments.

Amber Hanna is an Advanced Practice Pharmacist who specializes in psychiatry. She began working for the Ho-Chunk Nation in 2010 after earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Pacific University in Oregon. She is dedicated to improving accessibility to psychiatric medication management for the members of the Ho-Chunk Nation and its employees. Outside of work, she enjoys photography, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. She also likes learning about the medicinal properties of plants and crafts her own herbal medicine. One of her goals is to have herbal medicine options for people utilizing the Ho-Chunk Nation’s clinics.

Hussain Harun is a staff pharmacist at the House of Wellness Pharmacy. He originally started working for the Nation in 2012 as a pharmacist after earning his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison earlier that year. He is passionate about diabetes education, creating new pharmacy programs, looking for ways to add value, and connect with other departments and divisions within the Nation. Outside of work his interests include real estate, photography/videography, traveling, and staying active through exercise.

CAPT Ted Hall is a US Public Health Service Officer assigned to the Indian Health Service (IHS) Agency as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APP) non-physician medical provider with a scope of practice in psychiatric and substance use disorders. He has served the Ho-Chunk Nation since 2002 first as a staff pharmacist and then was promoted to Pharmacy Director from 2009 to 2018 then transitioned to an APP position. His main practice is in addiction psychiatry providing medically-assisted treatment for individuals suffering from drug and alcohol addiction with co-occurring mental health conditions. He has served on many local, county, State, and Federal committees for addiction, including the Office of the White House/Office of National Drug Control Policy National Heroin Taskforce as the IHS Principle Lead. When not at work, he enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, and being very active in Freemasonry serving the community.

Mandi is a Certified Pharmacy Technician at the House of Wellness that happily started working for the Nation in December of 2018 after a year's worth of pharmacy practice elsewhere. She is certified through the American Heart Association to provide CPR and AED assistance for both infants, children, and adults. She is certified to administer vaccines and to administer Narcan. Mandi is passionate about education and learning life-saving skills, because she believes that the more you know, the better off you and the others around you are. She is a proud mom, loves books and music, and will never say no to rollercoasters.

Heather Marks is the Pharmacy Provider Network Manager at the House of Wellness Pharmacy. She has been employed by the Ho-Chunk Nation since May of 2014. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has worked in some aspect of the health care world, with her primary focus in pharmacy since 1993. She has been dedicated to improving access and bringing the highest quality health care by volunteering for organizations such as the Arthritis Foundation, BSP Free Clinic (Madison) and hospice. She brings that same dedication to the Ho-Chunk people.

Lindsey became a certified Pharmacy Tech in 2004. She joined the House of Wellness pharmacy team in June of 2020. She has worked in Retail Pharmacies and Long Term Care Pharmacy. She enjoys learning about new medication, keeping up with her education, learning the culture of Ho-Chunk and helping others. She enjoys coming to work every day. Outside of work she like to make memories with friends and family, and is an avid farm girl.

Stephanie Purcell is a staff pharmacist at the House of Wellness. She graduated from Concordia University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in May 2018. She began working with Ho-Chunk in August 2022. Prior to her time with the nation, she worked in various retail settings as both a staff and managing pharmacist. She is passionate about functional and herbal medicine. She is hoping to bring further services in these fields to our patients in the future. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Eileen Romasanta is the Pharmacy Director for the Ho-Chunk Nation. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2004. In 2011, she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy. Eileen has been working in the pharmacy world since 2005 and joined the Ho-Chunk Nation pharmacy department in June 2021. She is passionate about health literacy and medication education. She enjoys connecting with patients by helping them manage their chronic health issues through medication and lifestyle, in order to meet their health needs and goals. When not at work, Eileen enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking and exploring.

David R. Snowball has been working at the Ho-Chunk Pharmacy in Black River Falls as a Pharmacy Technician since 2018. He originally started working with Ho-Chunk Nation Health Dept. in 2008 in the Community Health Division before transferring to pharmacy. He enjoys helping his clients with their medical needs and really loves the challenge of the fast pace in the Pharmacy Division. While he originally went to school for marketing, he has found his ideal passion in helping others. He is grateful to the Ho-Chunk Nation and the Ho-Chunk Pharmacy Division for allowing him to achieve his passion.

Betty is a certified pharmacy technician at the Health Care Center Pharmacy. She graduated from Western Technical College in April 2019 as a Certified Medical Assistant. She joined the Urology Department at Gundersen Clinic in La Crosse, WI. Although she enjoyed her career as a medical assistant, she wanted to follow other paths in the medical field. In November 2021, Betty joined out staff here at the Ho-Chunk Pharmacy. While using her medical experience, she was able to gain her Pharmacy Tech credential in February 2022. She is looking forward to meeting and working with the community through the pharmacy.

Melissa Worden is a certified pharmacy technician at the House of Wellness Pharmacy from the WI Dells area. She earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2013, majoring in Kinesiology and Biology. She joined the House of Wellness team in 2021 and enjoys building relationships with patients and colleagues alike, as well as continuing her knowledge of pharmacy through practice. She supplements the team with her can-do attitude, and prides herself in keeping our workflow efficient and tidy. Outside of work her hobbies are kayaking, volleyball, snowboarding, bicycling, and being on the river with her two sons.
