The Ho-Chunk Nation has a certified Contraceptive Care Specialty Pharmacist, Melanie (Lanie) Dreier, excited to meet with women who want to know more about birth control options and their benefits. She has a passion for reproductive health and strives to help women compare methods and find the right option that best fits their life. For women with issues or concerns with their current birth control method, Lanie can also help troubleshoot issues or find an option better suited for them.
This program is available to Tribally-enrolled Native Americans, Ho-Chunk Nation Employees, and the general public who have a primary care provider (PCP) at the Ho-Chunk Health Care Center or House of Wellness Clinic. Women will be referred to their PCP for placement of a progesterone or copper intrauterine device (IUD), or a progesterone implant.
